Planetary
Movements Diary for June 2009
The merry
month of May brought us some exceptional planetary activity including
Saturn turning direct on May 17, Mercury on May 31 and Neptune
turning retrograde on May 28 and remaining that way until November 4
giving us the opportunity to tune inwards and revisit those hopes,
dreams and visions for the future. Take stock of how far along that
road you have travelled over the past 11 years, what you have
achieved already and what you need to accomplish to bring the dreams
into reality. Jupiter aligns with Neptune and Chiron at around 26 -
25 degrees of Aquarius in June so idealism, spirituality and healing
on a global level becomes part of the bigger picture. June, not to be
outdone by its autumn neighbour is also an astrologically exciting month.
Planetary
Diary for June
June 1:
Mars, the Lord of War moves into laid back Taurus, not a comfortable
spot for the warrior as he might be forced to sit back and bide his
time, not a trait Mars is known for. This is a period when one can
easily become lazy or fall into a rut. Mars in Taurus can be stubborn
in his refusal to try anything new or by taking the path of least
resistance. Mars in Taurus can also result in passive/aggressive behaviour.
June 5:
Saturn in Virgo squares the Sun in Gemini - time for a reality health
check and to resolve any health issues. Alternatively, issues could
manifest in your routine working life. Look at where Saturn is
situated in your Natal chart to see, which area of your life will be
affected by this aspect.
June 6:
Venus, the love goddess moves into Taurus and feels very much at home
in her own sign. At this time you need to stabilise your
relationships and attend to financial matters. With Mars and Venus
both in Taurus it could be a very exciting time for matters of the heart.
June 8:
Full Moon in Sagittarius - is generally know for adventures and
taking a few risks to enjoy yourself, however, with Saturn squaring
this Sun/Moon opposition your faith in the best laid plans will be
put to the test. Another reality check asking us to carefully
scrutinise anything organised for this period.
June 14:
Mercury moves into Gemini - the messenger feels quite at ease in his
planetary home and endeavours to make life a little easier for us
mere mortals. Matters put on the back burner during the Mercury
retrograde period should now progress smoothly and communications
flow easily. Need to discriminate between ordinary chitchat and
what's valuable information in communication. Travel plans should now
be on target and it should be safe for any contracts put on hold
during the retrograde period to be signed.
June 15:
Jupiter joins Neptune and Chiron when the Great Benefic, as he's
affectionately known, goes direct on June 15. This planetary
alignment continues to create a magical atmosphere, whilst giving us
time to reflect on our own journey. This combination of planets
brings the opportunity for reflection and review before growth or
expansion. This Jupiter retrograde period will last until October 13
and is basically a time to curtail expenditure and cut back where possible.
June 21:
The Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere when the Sun enters
the sign of Cancer. As we know Cancer is all about nurturing, family
and home so a good time to focus on these areas of life.
June 21:
Mars and Venus come together in Taurus for a brief encounter and
while Venus is looking for love, passion and intimacy, Mars is keen
for the brief fling and to move on as quickly as possible as this is
not his most comfortable planetary position. Relationships that have
already begun are likely to develop further and those that were on
the way out are likely to continue to cool off.
June 23:
New Moon in Cancer - the theme for this New Moon in Cancer is family
and with the New Moon opposing Pluto in Capricorn power struggles and
changes of dynamics within families are strongly possible. There
could be changes within the home such as moving to somewhere you may
feel more secure. A sense of belonging is one emphasis of this Cancer
New Moon.
